Escrava mãe

Every story has an origin. What happened before the journey of the light-skinned enslaved woman pursued by the obsessed master Leôncio in the classic A Escrava Isaura? This is the premise of Escrava Mãe, a telenovela by Gustavo Reiz, loosely inspired by the literary classic. The story follows Juliana and Miguel, Isaura’s parents. Directed by Ivan Zettel, Escrava Mãe features a cast including Gabriela Moreyra, Pedro Carvalho, Thaís Fersoza, Fernando Pavão, Roberta Gualda, Léo Rosa, Milena Toscano, Zezé Motta, Luíza Tomé, among others.
